The Head Chef of the Benihana in Bratislava, Khalil Chrif Tribak, certainly is no exception.
Khalil, born in Morocco, has lived 16 years in England, began his career in 1996 at Benihana Piccadilly in London where he gained valuable experience from Benihana Guru, Chef Suzuki San. During his years at Benihana Piccadilly he mastered the art of Japanese cuisine. He is not only an excellent Teppanyaki chef and an entertainer, but also a brilliant Sushi chef.
He has worked in many well-known restaurants such as Koshi Restaurant in London, Roko Restaurant in Cobham and Fennel Restaurant in Guildford. He has entertained the rich and famous, international and local guests, thanks to his ability to distinguish what each patron expects.
Outlining his approach to food, with emphasis on taste and texture of each dish being his main priority Khalil offers a personal commitment to quality and originality. He uses the freshest and finest ingredients sourced from local suppliers.
Khalil said: "It doesn’t feel like I am at work everyday, it is more like having friends around me for dinner and entertaining them".
